How to use WPForms in WordPress website

Webform is a very important element for your website. Whether you want to get messages from your website visitors or you want to collect visitor’s data, it is very essential to have a form to deal with this. With WordPress, it is very easy to implement a form on your website and capture data.

There are a lot of plugins available in the official WordPress Repository. You can use any one of them. There are both free and paid version. Today we will learn how to use WPForms in your website. We just need a plugin to do that.

First of all, go to WordPress admin panel and then Plugins > Add New. Now look at the right side, there is a search field, we need to type “wpforms”, now you will get the plugin in the screen. Click on “Install” button and then wait few seconds, after it is installed, click on “Activate” button and activate the plugin. This whole process will take just 1 minute.

After installing and activating the plugin, we need to look at WordPress admin left menu bar, you will see a menu item named “WPForms”.

 

Now the platform is ready, we need to act. To create a new form, click on “Add New” and you will get a new page for creating the form. Look at below screenshot.

 

Now you will see some ready-made templates on the screen. There are few forms ready for you. You can pick “Blank Form” if you want to create a custom form. If you just want to add a Contact form, you can click on “Simple Contact Form” to get started.

Select “Simple Contact Form” and you will see all fields for Name, Email, Message. If you want to add more fields then you can easily drag and drop the field into right side.

 

If you are okay with the form fields, click on “Save’ button at right top corner. You will get notification or the information to your admin email address if someone uses the form to contact you. If you want to change the admin email, you can do so by clicking on “Notifications” at left top side.

 

Now look at the right side, you can specify here your desired email address to receive notifications once any visitor fill up the form and send info to you.

 

How to show the form to frontend?

To embed the form to any page, click on the WPForms > All Forms . There you will see shortcode for every form you have created. Simple copy the shortcode and paste in any of your page.
